Votes are collected from the Carsales Network's wide spectrum of websites, including Australia's number 1 auto site carsales.com.au, CarPoint.com.au and Redbook.com.au, as well as leading new car shopping destinations, DiscountNewCars.com.au and PrestigeNewCars.com.au.

During 2008, the Carsales Network received hundreds of thousands of enquiries on new cars, telling us exactly which models Australian car buyers are looking at and wanting to buy. To enquire new car buyers must provide their contact information and other details, so it's a serious vote for the car in question.
We've counted every new car enquiry as a vote for a potential category winner. As a result, the Carsales Network People's Choice Awards recognise and reward the most popular new cars of 2008.
