Toyota's HiLux is indomitable on the road and in its class. At times this year the popular ute even outsold the Corolla and Holden's Commodore; the rather unusual sales success attributed by the maker to the booms in the resources sector, on the land and via private buyers increasing acceptance of dual-cab utes as playthings. The HiLux line-up received an upgrade late-2007 and now includes the sports-oriented, supercharged TRD model, which has no doubt sparked extra buyer interest.
