Normally Toyota's HiAce has this segment sewn up but the entry of Hyundai's excellent iLoad/iMax reined in the Japanese brand, and Volkswagen's trusty Transporter did better still. New engines and a restyle late 2009 bring improvements for the upcoming model, so expect the Transporter to continue as a tempting option for LCV and recreational van buyers alike.
