The good-looking, well-equipped Mazda 6 lineup continues to win fans and this year was no exception. Holding out Honda's just-released Accord Euro last year, both second-generation versions of the midsizers are also up against Subaru's popular Liberty, which was released in larger, more economical and refined form for 2009. The Mazda 6 is the only one with a diesel option which helps its cause but a full year of Subaru sales (and perhaps the addition of an oiler too) may see a different outcome next time around.
