Best Luxury Sports Car category winner 2006 Australia's Best Car awards
Australia's Best Car said: "When a car combines that indescribable 'wow' factor with the good manners to be used every day, you know you're on a winner.
"Audi has taken its Quattro all-wheel-drive system to new levels in the RS4 while turning up the wick on performance. With a high-revving and powerful direct-injection 4.2-litre V8 under the bonnet and the surety of four massively-tyred wheels delivering power and gripping like pit bulls, the RS4 is an inspiring machine. It dominates the class for outright pace and never proves tiring, even though the only gearbox is a six-speed manual."

Winner Motor Magazine 'Bang for Bucks' 2006
Motor said: "There wasn't much in it - there never is with these things - but the SS managed to hold out charges by both the Subaru STi and the Mitsubishi Evo.
"Its 5.2sec tome to 100 was bettered only by a couple of much more expensive cars, and the SS's quarter mile of 13.4sec is absolutely staggering.
"All up the SS appears to have leap-frogged the opposition both at its own price-point and in terms of its projected performance envelope."

Winner Carsales People's Choice - Sports Car
Carsales said: "Holden's Monaro coupe never stops making headlines. First time it stole the limelight was in concept form at the 1998 Sydney motor show; the rest of the stands could have packed up and gone home, and very few show-goers would have noticed. Then, when it hit the road for real in 2001, Monaro graced more magazine covers and newspaper inches than any other vehicle that year."
