MITSUBISHI GRANDIS

The focus this week may be on Mitsubishi's 380 sedan, however, the maker isn't letting the rest of its cars rest on their respective laurels. The latest update is a makeover for the Grandis people-mover...

Mitsubishi's Grandis people-mover has had a makeover. And while the exterior is unchanged save for new colour options (see below), the interior has been upgraded with the emphasis placed on more luxury.

The interior of the standard '06 model year Grandis gets a new sporty look, says Mitsubishi. Colours have changed with the dark blue/light grey interior replaced with a black/grey scheme featuring dark grey cloth seat trim. However, the real makeover is accessed via the Luxury Pack options list. With an emphasis on making the car more comfortable and adding a hint of glamour, the Grandis can now be ordered with equipment including heated leather seats, leather and timber steering wheel, woodgrain gearshift lever, chrome and brightwork interior accents and uprated stereo.

Other Luxury Pack options include new design 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, dual sunroofs, privacy glass and reversing sensors.

The new model year has also seen three new colours added to the Grandis colour chart. They are: Fraser Beige Metallic, Red Metallic and Effect Grey Mica (new) and take the available colours to eight.

The price for standard Grandis is $39,990 for the entry model. The Luxury Pack equipped version will set you back $45,250.
