FIAT PUNTO

Famous name is now appended to a stompin' Punto

We first showed you pics of the Fiat 500 Abarth here. Now, the 'single-lens' snipers from Carparazzi have lucked out with an almost naked 500 Abarth at the Nurburgring.

Contrary to what we expected, the car's flanks are bereft of slots and scoops, but there are two additional intakes in the bonnet and a large cooling duct at the front. There's also that roof-mounted spoiler to break up the air-flow over the stumpy little body.

The 500 was icing on the cake for the photographers, because a Punto Abarth was also snapped at the Nurburgring on the same day. It's not known whether the Punto Abarth, which is rumoured to develop 200bhp (149kW), will make it to Australia.
