Chrysler has elevated the company's Asia/Pacific CFO to the position of Vice President -- Asia/Pacific Operations. John Kett, once upon a time an employee of Holden, has extensive experience working with General Motors, the Shanghai Auto Industry Corporation (SAIC) and most recently, Chrysler, in the region.
In his new role, he will oversee all sales and marketing functions in the region and reports directly to Chrysler's Executive Vice President -- International Sales and Global Product Planning Operations, Michael Manley. Manley has welcomed Kett's appointment.
"With Asia/Pacific remaining integral to Chrysler's viability and long term success, we will continue to offer our customers in the region vehicles that they want to buy, enjoy driving, and will want to buy again," said Manley. "John's strong automotive experience and first-hand knowledge of the Asian markets will help us to achieve this goal."
