BENTLEY

words - Gautam Sharma
Need some new bits for your Bentley or pre-2002 Roller? Here's where you need to be...

Bentley has a problem. It has on its hands a veritable smorgasbord of components for Bentley/Rolls-Royce cars dating back to 1955, but not enough space to store them.

Solution: throw on the world's biggest Bentley/Rolls parts and accessories fair, where dealers, owners and anoraks can snap up anything from a brand-new V8 engine block or replacement gearbox right through to an indicator bulb or pristine 1950s handbook.

Scheduled to be held on September 26-27, the jumble sale will feature over 55,000 part lines for all Bentley models (1955 onwards) as well as Rolls-Royce cars built in Crewe (1955-2002) -- before production shifted to Goodwood.

The September sales fair will enable Bentley to create additional space for parts and accessories for upcoming cars such as the biofuel-powered Continental Supersports and the Arnage-replacing 'Grand Bentley', which debuts next month at the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance in Monterey California.

Bentley says parts shoppers at the fair will be able to tap into the knowledge of factory trained experts, who will be on-site to provide visitors with advice on identifying and sourcing the correct parts for their car.

In addition, all the items will be clearly catalogued and displayed by model type with a range of systems available to source the perfect part.

And unlike a typical 'autojumble' (where greasy, well-worn bits are what you can typically expect), all the parts available will be original and unused, backed by a manufacturer warranty and many provided in branded packaging.

Bentley's official logistics partner will also attend the weekend to support any customers needing parts to be shipped (good news for anyone from Oz who might be thinking of attending).

In case you plan on being there, you'll need to register your interest by contacting the Bentley team at heritage.event@bentley.co.uk by August 21.
