Autoline Detroit's After Hours program, hosted by John McElroy, recently grilled Mark Reuss on a range of issues revolving around his 18-month stint as MD of Holden in Australia.

Reuss, now Vice President of Global Vehicle Engineering for GM and based back in the US, appeared comfortable answering -- and occasionally deflecting -- questions concerning Holden, GM, future product and corporate philosophy.

It's a long interview and you'll want to have a broadband internet connection for the streaming video. If you can't spare the 70+ minutes' run length out of your day, we've highlighted some of the issues that are more pertinent to Australian viewers.

The interview can be found at http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/2449528. There's not a lot of filler, but if time's precious, you might like to skip forward to certain points, as outlined below:

1. Interesting remarks about G8-homologated bumper for Caprice cop car from around 01:30
2. Cooperation with Australian government and favourable working environment from around 09:00
3. Exchange rates and profitability for exports from around 12:00
4. "Collaborative environment" and culture from around 15:00
5. G8 iconic/cult status from around 17:00
6. Caprice cop car from around 20:00
7. FWD versus RWD fuel economy (SIDI in Commodore) from 34:00
8. Australian (Holden) colour palette ('Atomic Green' Camaro at SEMA) from around 65:00
9. Building Zeta sedan in North American from around 71:00
