PROTON

Buy a new Proton sedan or hatch during June or July and you'll get an extended five-year warranty, plus three years of free servicing

Malaysian car-maker Proton has been hyperactive lately with revelations of a rekindled relationship with Mitsubishi, plus the recent announcement of an upcoming new car that is destined to become Australia's lowest-priced sedan.

This comes at the same time as a major nationwide shakeup that will see the axing and replacement of almost half Proton's local dealer network.

Now the company is looking to boost sales and bolster market confidence with the announcement of a limited offer that will see all models (other than the Jumbuck ute) sold during June and July this year covered by an extended five-year, 120,000km warranty, as well as three years free servicing. The standard three years of roadside assist will continue to apply.

The offer, which will also cover pre-2009 plated models purchased new during June and July, extends the regular three years/unlimited kilometre warranty. It is available to the original buyer only and is not transferable.

Proton's extended warranty/free servicing deal embraces the Satria Neo three-door light hatch, Savvy five-door light hatch, Persona small sedan and Gen 2 small sedan. The offer does not cover the Jumbuck ute, which continues with its standard three-year/100,000km warranty.
