FIAT DUCATO

Fiat is kicking off 2010 with an upgrade for the Ducato

All Fiat Ducato models sold in Australia this year will feature an improved specification, to build on the commercial vehicle's market appeal.

Heavier duty suspension and 16-inch wheels are the principal changes to the vehicle's tech specs, with the 2010 model distinguishable by improved body protection in a lovely shade of grey. Cruise control, Bluetooth and USB audio connectivity are additional features added to the standard specification for this year.

The changes to the Ducato will enhance the Fiat's selling power, tested last year by the Global Financial Crisis. In a shrinking market segment during 2009, the Ducato's share of that segment grew by 15 per cent, based on figures supplied by VFACTS. Actual sales for the Ducato fell back from 894 for the full year, 2008, to 868 last year.
