550 guests were on hand to witness the occasion of the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Maserati GranCabrio making their Australian debut last night. The two cars were the highlights of the opening ceremony for Ferrari Maserati Sydney, the city's new retail outlet in Waterloo for the two exotic Italian brands.
"We now have all-new dealerships in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, with major upgrades in Adelaide and Auckland, along with a new Maserati dealer in Christchurch that also provides Ferrari owners with a service centre," said Neville Crichton, Executive Chairman of European Automotive Imports, the distributor for the iconic Italian marques.
"This magnificent new Sydney dealership means that we now have a network of dealership that can stand comparison with the best in the world. Wherever our owners visit a dealership they will be welcomed by a unique level of customer service in facilities that match the legendary performance, technology and style of their cars."
Also present to join in the festivities were Ferrari CEO, Amedeo Felisa and Maserati's Global Corporate Director, Raffaele Fusilli. The two men, who are here in Australia for the first time, lauded the new facility, with Fusilli saying he was "proud to be able to welcome Maserati owners to the best Maserati dealer in the world."
The new five-level premises now integrates sales and services functions in the one location, making redundant the two separate facilities in William Street and Artarmon. Three times the floor area of the two previous locations, the new home of Ferrari and Maserati will also house the head office of the Ateco Group and is said to represent a $30 million investment by the owner.
"Our aim with developing this new dealership has been simple -- to provide a quality of service and a working environment that is equal or better to anything in the world," said Edward Butler, Dealer Principal for Ferrari Maserati Sydney.
"Indeed, with Ferrari Maserati Sydney providing a world debut for an entire new image for Ferrari, it would be fair to say we are one of the best Ferrari and Maserati dealerships in the world."
