GranTurismo MC Stradale takes Maserati performance to a new level

The top speed for the latest variant of the Maserati GranTurismo, the MC Stradale, will surpass 300km/h, according to the prestigious Italian manufacturer.

Practically paying homage to competition versions of the GranTurismo, the MC Stradale has been tweaked, lightened and streamlined. Peak power for the hot-shoe version is 336kW and the car slips through the air with the same low coefficient of drag, but produces greater downforce for improved grip. Despite that, Maserati claims that the MC Stradale uses no more fuel and rides with the same equanimity as the GranTurismo S.

Following the car's Paris motor show debut, Maserati will begin delivering the new variant to European customers early next year, with Australian buyers penciled in for a third quarter retail launch.
