Nissan will begin shipping its revised Murano SUV to dealers around the country ahead of an on-sale date in September.
The freshened Murano can be spotted by a new design of 18-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass fitted at the rear and new frontal styling. Changes to the front focus on the vehicle's grille, bumper and headlights. There are also new tail lights astern and restyled roof rails — the latter finished in silver for the high-grade Murano Ti variants. As the entry-level model, Murano ST is distinguished by the addition of front fog lights for the new model year.
Mechanically the Murano is unchanged, with the 191kW 3.5-litre V6 delivering 336Nm through the Xtronic CVT to the four wheels. Fuel consumption is rated at 10.9L/100km.
Added kit has pushed up the price of both variants, but the $1500 premium for the Murano ST is largely offset by a BOSE audio system featuring a two-gigabyte hard drive, a seven-inch colour display in the centre fascia, reversing camera and heated front seats. For the extra $500 built into the purchase price of the Murano Ti, buyers score an improved (new-generation) satellite navigation system, USB input/iPod connectivity and a nine-gigabyte hard drive.
Pricing is now $47,990 for the ST variant and $58,390 for the Murano Ti.
