Australian International Motor Show
Set to feature alongside the Impreza XV Concept and new Impreza sedan at this year's Australian International Motor Show (AIMS) is Subaru's red hot Liberty B4 GT300 race car.

Developed by R&D Sport in Atsugi, Japan the all-wheel drive race car is a collaborative effort between the firm and Fuji Heavy Industries (the parent company of Subaru) and Subaru Tecnica International (STI).

When not being displayed, the fire-breathing Liberty is piloted by three-time GT300 champion and 1992 All Japan Gymkhana winner, Tetsuya Yamano.

"Visitors to our stand in Melbourne will see we've got a 'performance corner', which will include this amazing sleek Liberty race car, which is a highlight of the GT300 series in Japan," said Subaru Australia's managing director, Nick Senior.

"We'll also have a WRX STI racing car simulator, where visitors can try and set a lap record against some fierce competition at the famous Nurburgring circuit in Germany."

Impreza WRX and WRX STI models will also be among the performance Subarus on display.

The Australian International Motor Show will begin in Melbourne on July 1.
