The stylish Passat CC is now available with the fuel-saving benefits of Volkswagen's BlueMotion technology.

Available on Passat CC 125TDI, the economical addition sees environmentally friendly inclusions such as idle stop/start and brake energy recuperation fitted to the already economical 2.0-litre turbodiesel model, while petrol-powered Passat CC V6 FSI models add the highly efficient regenerative braking system at no extra cost.

On 125TDI models, the additions join an impressive specifications sheet which sees the 125kW engine achieve a reduced average fuel consumption figure of 5.7L/100km (a reduction of 0.6 litres). CO2 emissions are now just 150g/km.

Both Passat CC 125TDI and V6 FSI models now also include a regenerative braking system which helps utilise the energy usually lost during deceleration and braking phases. Here, the alternator's voltage is boosted, thereby recharging the car's battery and reducing the load on the engine, further improving fuel consumption.

The pair of models are now also available optionally with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), with Front Assist and City Emergency Brake (City EB) function, Park Assist 2 and Lane Assist driver assistance technologies, as found on its seventh-generation sedan and wagon siblings.

The new Passat CC 125TDI with BlueMotion Technology and Passat CC V6 FSI are availble now.
