Due to a new project it is time to allow someone else the pleasure of owning and using this fine car I have owned the car for almost 20 years using on weekends. About the car- it was built by the craftsmen at Aston Martin Newport Pagnell (while Aston Martin was owned by the late Sir David Brown hence the DB intials)
in 1968 and exported to Australia on Oct 11 '68 to be sold NEW through the then Aston agents Emptor Pty Ltd.The car is powered by the excellent Tadek Merrick designed 6 cylinder engine first used in the DB4, mated to automatic transmision and only 351 cars were built in this variant. Being one of the early cars it has the outside louvres,wood-faced instrument panel and shallow front spoiler and like all first designs it has been recognised as the purest and hence most sort after. As seen in the photographs the interior is in excellent original condition with the leather in fine condition (fed yearly with Connolly hide food), hood lining unmarked, body wise it is excellent, recently I have fitted new Dayton wire wheels and new 3 eared spinnersThe engine has the correct oil pressure when the engine is at operating temp. I have maintained the car as it should be and can only describe it as an excellent ORIGINAL example of a true classic, with the car is the original hand book, For the value of an Early Aston as an investment I suggest going to http://www.aston.co.uk/downloads_index/php an excellent article from th U.K. During my ownership the car has been on Historic registration, There is lots more to say about this wonderful car but not enough room to say it, I don't think it's new owner will be disappointed in it. Note the speedo is in MILES not kilometres it is a 1968 car
