This is one every attractive looking vehicle. The colour works perfectly against the black of the road and tyres, and the low stance really looks great with the 20-inch factory rims. I get comments all the time on the great looks.

The ute has been given some modest upgrades of the type which will never reduce reliability. Together these upgrades have increased the power to about 345kW from the stock 307kW. I have some dyno sheets from the previous owner, but more importantly you can really feel the response when you drive it, which is a significant and easily noticeable improvement over the standard Maloo.

Upgrades include:
- performance exhaust system (superb V8 sound but not at all intrusive)
- cold air over-the-radiator intake
- under-drive balancer (accessories spin slower, robbing less power and incurring less wear - the accessories have effectively done only 3/4 of the kms that the car has done.
- cooler engine temp thermostat (more consistent performance)
- performance tune and "chip"
- modestly lowered and stiffened suspension, done properly, which really makes the handling 100% better than stock.
- Falken 452 tyres
- Fog-light covers (saves your very expensive fog lights from stone chips and actually looks pretty decent too).

This is really a car to drive on twisty roads, the suspension is just amazing, even for a Maloo. When I test drove the car one year ago I was instantly hooked on the way it feels and drives, after testing a couple of other Maloos. I now occasionally get in my friends clubsport wagon and it feels like a boat to drive compared to the machine for sale here. The nice thing is that the ride is very compliant with respect to uneven country roads, so it make a great long-distance tourer.

Three of the rims have minor scratches, there are some very minor stone ships in the front. Overall the car is in very good shape for its age and kilometers. It has always been garaged and regularly detailed since I have owned it. The spare has never been used to my knowledge, and nothing has been carried in the back.

Everything works perfectly, it is essentially still a brand new car.

Note that this vehicle is listed on the ATO website for fringe benefits tax exemption for most professionals. If you want a fun car, that can beat many expensive European models in acceleration, cornering and braking, then this is one that won't cost you luxury car tax or fringe benefits tax if you can salary package.

The car has just had the 60,000km service and a complete professional detail. It has always been serviced by HSV.

Note that the brake rotors are disks were replaced at 55,000kms at a cost of $4500. Beware of buying cars at this age that are due for this expensive maintenance item. The rear tyres are brand new, the fronts have 75% tread left. Falken 452s hold the road extremely well and good tyres really make a big difference on a heavy well-balanced car like this.
