**An exceptional opportunity to acquire one of Britain's most iconic and desirable classic sports cars — a genuine 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8-litre Roadster, presented in beautiful Carmen Red with black leather interior.**
Accompanied by Jaguar Heritage Certificate No. 39622, this matching-numbers example represents the purity and elegance of the early Series 1 E-Type, widely celebrated for its timeless design, exceptional engineering and place in automotive history.
Previously part of the private collection of respected businessman David Rodd, the vehicle was sold in December 2014 to a private collector, where it remained carefully garaged, covered and used sparingly for special occasions.

## Provenance & History
This E-Type benefits from an interesting and documented ownership story.
Previously forming part of David Rodd's private collection, it was sold in December 2014 to another private collector.
For approximately the following decade, the vehicle was carefully stored indoors, protected from the elements and driven only occasionally for selected events.
Its history, matching-numbers specification and accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate add to its appeal as an early Series 1 Roadster.
## Presentation & Original Character
Finished in striking Carmen Red with contrasting black leather, the car beautifully showcases the proportions that made the original E-Type a design icon.
Beneath the sculpted bonnet sits Jaguar's legendary 3.8-litre inline-six engine, presented in exceptionally clean condition.
The interior retains the distinctive character of the early 3.8-litre Series 1 models, including the aluminium dashboard and centre console, wood-rimmed steering wheel and traditional analogue instruments.
The vehicle has been restored and maintained with particular attention to preserving its period-correct appearance and classic Jaguar character.

**Registration & Ownership**
The vehicle is currently unregistered purely due to lack of use. Having been kept in a private collection and driven only occasionally, the previous registration was simply allowed to lapse.
There were no mechanical or roadworthiness issues that prompted the lapse in registration, and I have experienced no issues with registering the vehicle previously.
The vehicle has been associated with the Ferrari Club and, given its age, is eligible for consideration under Victoria's Historic Club Permit Scheme, subject to the usual roadworthy and VicRoads requirements.
The vehicle is being sold unregistered. Its unregistered status is simply a result of it not being driven regularly, rather than any known issue preventing registration.
