An absolute pride and joy of the current owner, this D Code Mustang Convertible 289 4V V8 has been showered with love and care and presents in excellent condition throughout. Originally a Kansas City car, it was imported to Australia prior to 1989 as per the Department of Transportation import approval letter.
Restored in Australia in the factory Caspian Blue with stunning White Pony trim (replacing the factory white trim with blue inserts) and White electric soft top, the Mustang has been maintained regardless of cost and can be reliably daily driven. Once you get past the wow factor of the colour combination and slip behind the wheel you'll notice that this car has been treated to an extraordinary level of care in the restoration.
Mechanically, the factory 289 4V V8 features a 4bbl Performer Edelbrock carby, standard inlet and exhaust manifolds. The Mustang is running a period correct 4 speed Top Loader gearbox replacing the factory 3 speed manual gearbox. The engine has been over hauled, runs on unleaded. The gearbox and diff have been reconditioned ane the Mustang has been fully serviced with all oils replaced.
The Mustang features the Rally-Pac gauge , a restored factory steering wheel, console and AM radio. All gauges work as does the horn. All chrome and brightwork is in excellent restored condition. The Mustang also comes with one set of keys.
