The HG model Monaro was released on the 26th of July 1970, the HG was the last model of the original design concept of the Monaro. In other terms it’s the best version of the first generation Monaro! This beautiful example in Florentine Gold left the HG Acacia Ridge Plant in Brisbane as a 186 GTS HG Monaro.
This HG has had a ground up resto and is now running a 350 V8, mounted to a Powerglide Auto. Wheels tested the 0-60mph time back in 1970 of the 350 HG Monaro, a mere 7.5 seconds is all it took for this beast to rocket to that speed. It truly was the quickest version of the first generation of Monaro’s.
This HG Monaro has had the rust removed and the hard yards have already been done for you. There is very minimal work left to do, sit down, turn the key and go for a drive in this restored HG Monaro.

Complete Restoration
This HG Monaro has had a no expense spared bare metal ground up restoration. The restoration has taken place at one of Adelaide’s most recognized restoration workshops. The vehicle has been completely stripped down and any rust has been professionally removed. The body shell has then been placed in a special chemical bath to prevent any rust returning down the track.
Paint Job
The HG Monaro has then been professionally painted back to a factory Florentine Gold colour and GTS stripes have been applied. The paint job looks amazing and brings the vehicle back to better than factory release.
Interior Restoration
The HG's interior has been completely reupholstered in factory Sudan Beige, new roof lining, dash lining and door trims have been fitted, there is nothing left to do, sit down, turn the key and go for a drive in this completely restored HG Monaro.
