1978 Carmine Red MGB GT first registered in UK on 5 Oct 78. The car was sold to an Australian lady in Apr 85 who privately imported the car to Sydney. The car had only 3 different owners between 1990 and 2022 when I purchased the car. I have documents from each registration as well as the original UK Registration and import documentation through Sydney. All original booklets and manuals are with the car. As a result of this and the originality of this car, the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust issued a Certified Copy of the Factory Record. This car has matching numbers and is very original. The car presents very well and won First in Class at an Interstate MG event in Canberra in September 2026. The car is a great Club car or daily drive and drives very well with a genuine 79,550 miles on the clock. Overdrive works perfectly.
The car has been regularly maintained and was last serviced in Oct 25, which included changing the transmission fluid and a belt drive replacement. New Continental tyres were fitted in Oct 25. A custom Moto-Lita steering wheel has been fitted but the original steering wheel is included in the sale, as are a number of spare parts. The car is on non transferrable Concessional Registration plates.
