Verified by Ford Australia, this Fairmont Ghia was built in June 1979 and delivered new by Lawrence Ford in Campbelltown, . Factory-equipped with the desirable 4.9-litre V8 engine and T-Bar automatic transmission, this Fairmont Ghia was factory optioned with Integrated Air-conditioning, Power windows and AM radio/Cassette player.
The Fairmont Ghia has got to be one of the best preserved of this model and is presented with the original log books, owners manuals, new car brochure, verification letter from Ford and two sets of original keys. The Ghia is fitted with a tow bar and front sun visor.
Mechanically, the original 4.9L V8 runs beautifully and is complemented by the original Motorcraft 4BBL carburettor, with the original carby tag, original radiator shroud, air cleaner, A/C components, washer bottle, Motorcraft coil, PBR Brake Master and battery terminals.
Inside, the Camel Ghia interior is a standout feature. The cabin showcases the refinement and attention to detail that set the Fairmont Ghia apart from lesser models, providing a comfortable and inviting driving environment. The factory integrated air conditioning, power windows and original AM radio/cassette player are fully operational, making this classic Ford an absolute pleasure to drive and enjoy.
The undercarriage is in excellent condition and features some sign of original factory markings, the original shock absorbers, tail shaft, PBR brake calipers all round and factory diff with diff tags. The XD is riding on 15-inch Globe wheels fitted with 215/60R15 Nexen tyres all round and the original boot carpet, spare wheel and tools are located in the boot.
A rare opportunity to secure a genuine V8 Fairmont Ghia with unbelievably low kilometres and original documentation makes this Fairmont Ghia a highly desirable proposition.
