Comments from the dealer
1979 Volkswagen Beetle Karmann Cabriolet
Genuine 26,700 miles
VIN:
Eng: AJ145698
This stunning example was delivered new to California, as a 1600cc Fuel Injected example, from factory.
Vehicle is complete with comprehensive history including drivers handbook, original log book, registration and ownership records.
It was originally delivered to an Australian family living in San Francisco, after which the vehicle was freighted to Australia and expertly converted to RHD.
From the documents, the vehicle stayed with the original family until 1996, when it was sold to a new owner in Victoria.
There are many service records from Victoria, and also from the ownership in Queensland.
The car starts immediately, and runs superbly. It was also recently fitted with new, white-wall tyres.
This is a very original car. Original vinyl hood and trim, including the seats, carpet, door cards and dashboard. The mechanicals are all correct, with a wonderful engine, correct wheels and exhaust.
From numerous service records and statements, the mileage is correct at 26,700 miles from new.
This pristine vehicle has a clear PPSR with no finance owing.
Price excludes government charges in the state of its eventual delivery.
