This is a 1996 VS Calais series I with Ecotec 3.8L V6 and 4-speed automatic transmission.
Genuine one owner with original books and 70,538km on the clock.
THIS IS AN IDEAL CAR FOR RESTORATION OR AS A DONOR OF WORKING PARTS.
Owned and driven by my elderly father from 1996 to 2024 (Deceased Estate)
Registration expired in June 2024 and has not been driven on the road since. No roadworthy certificate will be supplied.
I have found service records 2003-2007, 2012-2014 with 2014 showing odometer reading of 59,288km at that time.
Engine starts easily and can be driven onto a suitable trailer or tray truck for transport.
The car has been out in the weather. The clear coat is peeling from paintwork in various surfaces and window sills show signs of moss.
Every 2 months the engine has been started, run to normal temperature, and moved within the property (forward and reverse).
The AIRBAG light stays on as Holden could never work out why and never found an airbag problem.
Air-conditioning, trip computer, Eurovox radio/cassette player/10-stack CD player are all working as are all electric windows.
Internally the passenger side airbag cover on the dashboard has been warped by the sun, the volume down button on the steering wheel has lost its cap (but still works) and the internal roof lining is hanging from the roof.
Externally there is minor panel damage at left front quarter panel near door hinge plus along left rear passenger door.
Right rear tail light assembly is broken.
Please review all photos as they are a major part of the car's description.
Two copies of the Owner's Handbook, two main keys (both working) and a glovebox key will be supplied.
This is a rare opportunity to obtain a Commodore/Calais engine, drivetrain and working accessories with minimal kilometres clocked up.
