Selling my 1997 C200 in green metallic. It came to me through a deceased estate and I’ve treated it as a semi-project car since, slowly sorting the things that matter. Odometer is around 230,000 km.
Rego and pickup
Rego lapsed in April and I haven’t renewed it, so it can’t be driven away. You’ll need a tow truck or trailer. Being a 1997 build, it turns 30 on 1 January 2027, which should make it eligible for NSW conditional registration (historic or classic scheme). That’s much cheaper rego, aimed at cars that aren’t daily drivers. Buyer to confirm eligibility with Transport for NSW. Pickup only from Wolli Creek.
Done while I’ve had it
New double-DIN head unit and all four speakers replaced
A/C regassed recently, blows cold
Rear brake pads replaced about six months ago
Driven lightly, once or twice a week, until it was parked up when the rego lapsed
Still to do
Front brake pads are due
Minor tear in the driver’s seat upholstery (photos on request)
Tan leather interior, otherwise presents well. A good base for someone who wants a W202 to finish off and get back on the road.
