BMW's M division never made an E39 M5 Touring sadly. Privately converted 'E39 M5 Touring's' using a donor M5 E39 sedan and a E39 525/528/etc Touring as a base with similar or higher odometer reading to this B10 Touring are solidly now fetching six figures AUD (even good E39 540i Touring's are 55-60K AUD) year-on-year on various auction platforms by collectors.
However, this B10 (E39) Touring is certified original by Alpina Classic, hand built at Alpina HQ in Buchloe from new. And Alpina (E39) B10 Tourings are arguably now considered one of if not the most desirable modern-classic Alpina / BMW as described above. Alpina founding / Bovensiepen family member has personally positively acknowledged this B10 Touring.
Ownership has been bliss over the years. Originally purchased due to the need for a subtle family sports touring. Since then, global interest rapidly grew to the point where it is not uncommon to be photographed and/or complimented by enthusiasts when out and about. Therefore reluctantly its only been used on special occasions hence the sale.
On-time scheduled and preventative maintenance is evident throughout its ownership history using only highly regarded service partners and oem+ parts. Undercarriage has been ice-blasted to further exemplify its excellent condition. Next annual service maintenance scheduled task is just a vehicle check, engine oil change, and brake fluid flush in early 2027. When not driven, the car is garaged, connected to a ctek trickle charger, and draped with a autotehnica car cover.
Will come with a chronologically ordered history folder including original sales brochures, various OEM documentation, invoices, etc, let alone complete owner manuals and stamped service logbooks.
