A genuine W202 C43 AMG — one of the original "Q-car" AMGs and increasingly hard to find in this condition. Hand-assembled 4.3-litre M113 V8 producing around 225kW and 410Nm, paired with the 5-speed auto. Effortless, understated performance with the unmistakable AMG V8 note through the twin oval tips.
A significant car in AMG's history, too: the C43 was the first AMG model assembled in-house on the Mercedes-Benz production line at Bremen, with its V8 still hand-built at AMG's Affalterbach headquarters. With roughly 4,000–5,000 produced worldwide and only a small number officially delivered to Australia, it's a genuinely rare AMG — far less common here than the M3s of its era.
Single family ownership from new, purchased as a dealer demonstrator and kept ever since. Many years of enjoyment though sadly selling to make room for more practical car for a young family.
Completely unmodified and entirely stock, exactly as AMG intended, with a detailed service history and all major works completed as required.
Finished in blue metallic over black leather, sitting on the iconic AMG 17" five-spoke monobloc wheels wrapped in Continental tyres with good tread remaining.
Features include:
Genuine AMG body kit, badging and AMG instrument cluster (280km/h speedo)
Electric sunroof with sunshade
Heated/electric leather seats
AMG leather steering wheel and shifter
ESP, dual airbags, factory Mercedes-Benz audio
Carbon-look interior trim
Showing 180,491km and presenting very well for its age — paint and panels are tidy and the body kit is in good order. A few minor age-related marks as you'd expect (one grille fin missing, small tear on the passenger door pull, light wear to the driver's seat bolster) — all pictured and nothing that detracts from how well it drives.
The last of the genuinely analogue AMGs before the supercharged C32 arrived, and a rare single-owner, unmodified, fully-serviced example.
