The 2003 Mitsubishi Delica Space Gear Chamonix is a highly capable, rugged 4x4 minivan. Based on the robust Pajero platform, the Chamonix special edition features a cold-weather package, durable interior fabrics, and aggressive off-road styling, making it a beloved choice for overlanding and camping. Powered by a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine, it performs as well in the city as it does on the open road, in the bush or on the beach.
Features the legendary Pajero Super Select 4WD system, allowing seamless shifting between 2WD, full-time 4WD, and 4WD with low-range and a center differential lock.
This is a high roof model, with that little bit of extra room for comfort.
All rear windows come with original Japanese tint, and front windows including small triangular ones have been tinted with the darkest legal tint, blocking 90% of UV rays.
Extremely versatile, this car seats 7 comfortably (2 in front, 3 in the middle and a further 2 seats at the rear). All rear seats are completely configurable. The middle seat has a 360 degree swivel feature, and a 3rd seat that folds up and down as necessary. The far rear seats fold up and out of the way for extra space and can be put up and down in seconds.
As an extra bonus, by removing the headrests and folding all the seats flat, you can covert to a giant bed like sleeping platform!
It is easy to remove some, or all, of the rear seats entirely. Add a bed frame, fridge, generator... whatever you can imagine and build your ultimate camping or travel van to head off for the weekend, or around Australia!
To make your camping or travel fantasy even easier, this car has 300w flat technology solar panels affixed to the roof. Ready to plug into whatever electrical setup you can image. You can run the leads through the rear door crease, with no need for drilling or damaging the exterior.
Or create an extremely spacious work or moving van, with a ready made solar system to charge all your tools and accessories on the go.
I am the first owner in Australia after the dealer, and brought the car to Victoria and had it registered here. I have had my adventures and now it's your turn!
