Likely one of the few excellent condition and low kilometer MANUAL R56's of this generation. Regrettable sale of my near immaculate manual R56, family owned since new, complete BMW service history, low kilometers, very economical, fun and easy to drive.
It is a fantastic car to drive and still feels new - comfortable, nimble, great transmission - one of the easiest manual's I've ever driven. It's the perfect era of feeling analog to drive, but with the modern benefits of build quality and reliability.
It's been parked away from the sun, so the paint is in excellent condition. There are a few marks here and there as is common for this age and travel, but most are small enough that they are hard to even get a photo of. I've tried to add photos with any marks, so please look through all images.
I've kept on top of maintenance as much as possible, and refurbished a few trim items that commonly break on these cars that most people wouldn't bother repairing. Reliability has been flawless, it's not once had any issue since new. I've also written a list below of certain upgrades I have done to make it even better to drive.
What sets this apart from other Mini's?
- Upgraded projector LED headlights
(massive improvement over the standard Mini halogens and much safer for night driving. This isn't just a bulb replacement, these are completely new headlights with a proper light cutoff pattern, DRL's, and LED indicators similar to the new generation)
- Upgraded LED parking lights to match
- Auto stop/start memory function
- Remote window opening and closing from the key
- Refurbished boot release
- Refurbished sun visors
- Re-gassed air conditioning
- Tinted windows
- Integrated phone mount
- Full service logbook (nearly always serviced with Westside BMW)
Other features:
- Incredibly fuel efficient
(regular mixed driving can yield 3.8L/100km, and even sporty driving will still yield a solid 5.1L/100km)
- Automatic headlights w. dipping control
- Automatic wipers
- Ambient cabin lighting (blue/orange)
- Automatic hill hold
This car started my appreciation for BMW & Mini, and the only reason I am selling this one is that I have bought a sportier version. I've tried to keep this one as long as possible but it doesn't make practical sense having two similar Mini's.
If you are a QLD buyer, I will obtain a roadworthy certificate once you are ready to commit to purchase. We can then arrange a time for handover, payment, transfer paperwork, and a bill of sale (as a receipt).
Payment preferred using 'Pay with Carsales', as it is secure, private, and there are no banking delays.
