Comments from the seller
Selling my much loved 5-speed manual Forester due to moving interstate and getting a work vehicle.
The car has been maintained over time and is in good running order.
Great runaround and perfect for highway driving.
Seats are comfortable and intact with no holes or tears.
Rear parcel is as new due to being stored and out of the car since I've had it.
More photos coming of the interior.
It has HID front headlights, factory driving lights and aftermarket LED rear tail lights.
Ice cold air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity and rear reversing camera.
Factory stereo and speakers are quite good and 2 DIN size so easy to upgrade to a touch screen head unit with minimal effort.
Some recent work done which includes:
- New rear raised springs and shocks with any worn bushes also replaced.
- Near new front rotors and brake pads, new rear brake pads
- New clutch, slave cylinder and hydraulic hose and new gearbox oil
- Near new Yokohama tyres all round
- Timing belt checked last month and in good condition - mechanic estimated 18-24 months before replacement is due.
- Spark plugs replaced 2 years ago - good for over 100,000km
- New cabin filter
- New Crank angle sensors and O2 sensor
Full synthetic engine oil has always been used and I've replaced it every 7000km to keep the engine happy !
For full disclosure:
- Power steering rack has a slow leak which I manage with topping up fluid every couple of months.
- Central locking works OK but not via the key.
I normally unlock the drivers door manually with a key, then use the central locking button on the drivers console to unlock all other doors.
- Small dent on driver's side guard ( thanks Katherine NT!) and a few scuff marks, quite typical for age.
I have some accessories available for the right buyer including some light bars and ramps/oil pan (see separate ad).

Overview
The third generation, constant all-wheel drive Subaru Forester SUV comes with more of everything - new looks, a bigger interior and revisions to the both the regular (126kW/229Nm) and turbo (169kW/320Nm) 2.5-litre boxer engines. Transmissions are a four-speed auto or a five-speed manual. Bumping the wheelbase by 90mm increased passenger and cargo space, as did a widening of the body by 60mm. Still no off-roader, the Forester nevertheless manages good ground clearance (220mm), while approach and departure angles compare with Mitsubishi Outlander and Honda CR-V. The five-star ANCAP Forester has six airbags, stability control and updated all-disc ABS brakes.
