Overview
The R172 SLK boasts new styling in deference to the AMG Gullwing, and not only reduces weight with an alloy bonnet and front guards, but also offers a substantial price drop, in a move to access a wider buying market. Already well appointed, there's a vast list of options for individualization. Both the 200 and 350 come with a seven-speed auto and an optional, much lauded, "Dynamic Handling" package, with the 350 sporting a lot more standard equipment. Safety features are prolific in both models, including aids unheard of in any of the competition - a bit of a tradition at M-B.
