Mechanically strong and drives very well. Reliable 2.5L turbo-diesel with 5-speed manual transmission, proper 4WD system and rear diff lock, making it a very capable vehicle both on and off road.
Has been a dependable vehicle and is still running strongly. Comes fitted with bull bar, tow bar, roof racks and side steps. Spacious interior with plenty of cargo room and good towing/off-road capability.

Overview
The re-introduced Challenger (2009) shares nothing mechanically with the previous version discontinued in 2007. It's actually based on the current workhorse Triton, thus sharing the same ladder chassis, associated serious hauling ability and high ride. That hasn't preventing the engineers from designing a vehicle that gives a more car-like ride and feel in a two-tonne plus, five-door 4x4. The suspension is all coil with more sophisticated geometry than the Triton - double wishbone up front and three-link at the rear. Safety levels are good, but you'll be paying for side and curtain airbags in the lower spec models.
