Overview
The Ultima is the first ever Corolla to be fitted with a 2.0 litre engine. It produces 102kW/189Nm, significantly, both these figures are produced at lower revs than the 1.8. The new motor is mated to a newly developed 4-speed auto transmission. As the flagship model the Ultima features leather seat trim, Smart Entry and Start System, rain-sensing wipers, climate-controlled air conditioning, auto Xenon headlamps, and body coloured mudguards. Safety features include a full compliment of 7 airbags, ABS, stability control and a newly fitted reversing camera. A 'moonroof', and somewhat strangely, metallic paint are its two options.
