I’ve owned the car since 2020 and it has genuinely been a great car. During my ownership it has mainly been used for short commutes and the occasional road trip.
It’s also mostly been driven by my partner, who is definitely much gentler on the accelerator than I am 😂
The car presents really clean for its age. There are some normal marks on the rims and bumper from everyday wear and tear — nothing I’m trying to hide and nothing unusual for a car of this age.
Both keys are included. One is in perfect condition and I’ve already ordered a replacement body/case for the second key.
One thing I think is important with an R: the car is completely stock and original. No tuning, no engine modifications and no chasing extra boost or power. It has simply been maintained and enjoyed the way it came from Volkswagen.
And that brings me to the reason I’m actually going to miss it…
This thing is seriously fun to drive. ❤️
The DSG is quick, it handles beautifully and 0–100 km/h is around 6 seconds. Even after owning it for years, it can still put a smile on my face.
It’s one of those cars that somehow makes an unnecessary trip to the shops seem completely justified 😂
Not desperate to sell, and I’d genuinely prefer it to go to someone who appreciates what it is and will look after it.

With the powerplant of the Golf VI R and carrying over 100kgs less weight the Scirocco presents itself as a very compelling companion. Okay, you'll be sans the 4-Motion AWD and a couple of doors, but you will experience extra urge once up and running. Sporting their intelligent XDL diff lock, it is still never going to compare with AWD off the line, although the DSG version reflects faster acceleration times than the manual - same as the Golf. Ride quality is three way adjustable and there's electronic control over each corner for heads down motoring. Welcome back, fun motoring.
