Advantages of the 0.9 TwinAir
1. Better acceleration than the 1.2L
The turbo produces more torque, making the car feel stronger when accelerating, especially at lower engine speeds.
2. Excellent fuel economy
The TwinAir was designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. However, real-world fuel economy can be considerably higher than official figures, especially in city driving.
3. More torque than the 1.4L
Surprisingly, the 0.9 TwinAir produces around 145 Nm compared with 131 Nm for the naturally aspirated 1.4L. This gives it good pulling power at low revs.
