Selling our second family car after recently purchasing an EV.
I'm the second owner and have owned the car for the past 8 years. It's been a comfortable and reliable car, primarily used for occasional local trips rather than daily commuting.
Maintenance & Servicing:
Only 125,000km
Serviced twice a year throughout our ownership
Major service just completed, including transmission service, front brakes and spark plugs
2 new tyres fitted approximately 7 months ago for rego renewal
Comfortable and enjoyable to drive
Condition & Full Disclosure:
The car presents well overall for its age, with a few things worth mentioning:
Some tearing on the base of the driver's seat
UV peeling on the rear spoiler (appears like a peeling plastic film)
Minor white scuff on the rear left door from an e-bike making contact. Paint is intact.
Thermostat Warning Light:
An engine warning light can occasionally appear, which local mechanics have diagnosed as a thermostat-related fault.
I've never experienced any noticeable driving or performance issues associated with this, and the car continues to drive normally.
Local mechanics have quoted approximately $1,500 to replace the thermostat, although I've continued driving the car without any apparent issues and haven't found it necessary to undertake the repair.
For full transparency, I've factored this into my asking price, which is below the recommended market valuation of approximately $10,000.
I'd rather disclose everything upfront so potential buyers know exactly what they're getting.
Reason for Sale:
We've recently purchased an EV, so our second car is no longer required.
