Classic performance, reliable, satisfies modern expectations, but still has that classic cool and all the classic sounds and emotions that come with it…..a true Porsche.
A rebellion against increasingly and overly complex modern machines that remove motorists from the experience of driving.
Porsche ended naturally aspirated Boxters some years ago so this is an opportunity to purchase a near new, last of the famous 3.4 litre Boxter S performance classics.
I added this gem to my collection in March 2023 from the original purchaser, a mature and fastidious lady owner who literally drove it only on sunny weekends from Brighton to the Mornington peninsular. It was 10 years old when I found it and had only 7000 klm on the clock, and in showroom condition. I bought it to keep forever.
I have kept it securely garaged, clean and covered with its own Porsche car cover and like the original owner I have driven it sparingly to and from Porsche service specialists, the occasional coffee run in the Yarra Valley, Mount Dandinong and a couple of special road trips from the Mornington Peninsular to Queenscliff and along the Great Ocean Road and Otway Rangers and a mountain road trip through the alps to northern Victoria.
It’s in pristine condition, no scratches, no dents, no blemishes inside or out. Just 8990 klm on the clock.
It’s one of the last flat six 3.4 litre Boxter S with PDK and I think the best. Certainly, a keeper.
It’s highly optioned with all the good bits as listed below. After my 911 Turbo, this was a Porsche I had always wanted and I intended to keep it forever and eventually hand it down to one of my grandchildren.
But alas, life gets in the way and now I need to sell it to help one of them get through difficult times.
If you are reading this, I don’t need to tell you how special these cars are. I don’t need to mention the feeling you have behind the wheel and to listen to that Porsche sound track cracking through the forest. I t is equipped with a rare center button to amplify that magic flat six sound as you rip through mountain roads and tunnels.

981 S Convertible 2dr PDK 7sp 3.4i Similarly to the 991 series Porsche 911, the latest Boxster is lighter, with a longer wheelbase than its predecessor and offers more power from worked-over powerplants. The base 195kW/280Nm 2.7-litre horizontally opposed, mid-mounted six gets the Boxster to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds while the gruntier 232kW/360Nm 3.4-litre S version reaches that mark in 5.0 seconds. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual or a seven-speed PDK automated manual. Like the 911, the Boxster's extra length and wider tracks are all about handling rather than augmenting interior space - although it is up slightly. Also 911-style, the Boxster now gets electro mechanical power steering.
