Overview
The Jetta sits somewhere between the Golf and Passat - while it uses Golf tech, it actually isn't all that much smaller than its larger sibling. Its forte lies in general packaging and power trains. The 118TSI 1.4-litre petrol engine, for instance, represents the latest thinking in the power/economy equation. So much so that it out powers and easily undercuts consumption of naturally aspirated engines of up to one-litre larger capacity. Packaging wise, load space can be enhanced by deploying the split/fold rear seats, and the boot itself, at 510-litres, is larger than many cars from the next tier up.
