8T MY16 Sportback 5dr S tronic 7sp quattro 2.0T Audi's beguiling A5 cabriolets, coupes and five-door Sportbacks are based on the A4 sedan/wagon, adding style and flair where some would argue they were already well and truly present. But with model-specific styling and a lower-slung silhouette, the A5 series aims at a more exclusive market niche. The range of powerplants includes 130kW/320Nm 1.8-litre and 169kW/350Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbos, and a 180kW/500Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 " the latter two being all-wheel drive where the 1.8-litre is front-drive only. There three transmissions: a CVT (1.8-litre only), a six-speed manual (optional on 2.0-litre only) and a seven-speed dual-clutch auto.
