2015 Ford Mondeo MD Ambiente Wagon 5dr PowerShift 6sp 2.0DT — Great-value, frugal diesel wagon with excellent service history
MD MONDEO AMBIENTE WAGON — 2.0 TURBO-DIESEL, HUGE PRACTICALITY, GREAT SERVICE HISTORY AND GENUINELY OUTSTANDING VALUE.
This example is powered by the excellent 2.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder, producing 132kW and a substantial 400Nm of torque, paired with the 6-speed PowerShift dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels. That torque figure is the key to the car — it pulls strongly from just above idle, making overtaking and hill climbing effortless even fully loaded, while returning genuinely frugal real-world fuel economy of around 5.5L/100km combined. On a highway run it will comfortably stretch a tank well beyond 1,000 kilometres.
The Ambiente was the sensibly specified entry grade, and it is all the better for it — no oversized wheels to spoil the ride, no unnecessary complexity, just the core Mondeo virtues of space, comfort and economy.
Highlights include:
2.0L turbo-diesel four-cylinder — 132kW / 400Nm
6-speed PowerShift dual-clutch automatic with paddle shifters

A genuinely under-rated car — the comfort and highway manners of a European wagon, the running costs of a small hatch, and the load space to embarrass an SUV. Ideal for families, tradespeople, rideshare operators or anyone covering serious kilometres.
