X61 Phase II Van 5dr Man 5sp 1.6i Lined up against Citroen's Berlingo, Volkswagen's Caddy and Peugeot's Partner, Renault's Kangoo combines frugality, carrying capacity and versatility. Available in two wheelbase configurations, as a van or a five-passenger-plus-cargo light commercial, the Kangoo is powered by an 81kW/240Nm 1.5-litre turbo-diesel, or a 79kW/148Nm 1.6-litre petrol four-cylinder. Five and six-speed manuals, and a four-speed auto transmission are available. Recent upgrades have brought added body strength and lower noise levels. Dual front airbags, ABS, stability control, traction control, brake assist and Extended Grip " a traction control feature for use in particularly slippery conditions " are standard in the five-passenger Maxi Crew.
