If you haven't owned an electric car before, you'll notice the difference immediately — effortless merging from T-junctions, total silence, and climbing hills like they're flat. This Leaf has been a genuinely great car and I've taken care of it.
The 40kWh battery uses Nissan's Lizard chemistry, which is specifically engineered to resist degradation in hot conditions. Battery State of Health as measured by LeafSpy is 82%, which comfortably handles a full week of commuting (170km) to the city from the outer suburbs on a single weekend recharge — topped up for free from rooftop solar.
Charging is flexible — the car supports both CHAdeMO DC fast charging and standard wallplug AC. It comes with a wall plug charger selectable between 6A and 15A.
New Pirelli Powergy tyres have recently been fitted — these are dedicated EV tyres designed to reduce rolling resistance and extend range while maintaining strong wet weather performance.
This is a Japanese Domestic Market import. The infotainment menus are in Japanese, but phone pairing is a one-time setup — once your phone is Bluetooth synced, you won't notice any language issues day to day.
Also fitted: ABS, multiple airbags, traction and stability control.
