EW GL Hatchback 5dr Auto 4sp 1.4i After a 16-year absence, the Suzuki Baleno came back to Australia in 2016 and made a good fist of straddling the gap between light-class and small cars. At entry GL level it's pretty cheap and decidedly cheerful with standard sat-nav, Apply CarPlay and a reversing camera all standard. And it's almost as big as some small cars inside. On top of that, it gets plenty of punch with a combination of light weight and a choice between two characterful engines: a 68kW/130Nm 1.4-litre four-cylinder, or a turbocharged 82kW/160Nm 1.0-litre three-cylinder. It's a viable challenger to Mazda2 and Volkswagen Polo.
