Overview
EKK1C Origin Utility Dual Cab 4dr Spts Auto 8sp AWD 1100kg 2.5DT The oversize LDV Terron 9 ute has arrived in Australia with the subtlety of a slap in the chops. The Chinese workhorse body-slams its way into the dual-cab market with dimensions that overshadow Ford's Ranger and is a direct challenger to GWM's Cannon Alpha. At 5.5 metres long and packing a 163kW/520Nm 2.5-litre turbo-diesel that's the second-most powerful four-cylinder oil-burner in Australia, the two-model Terron 9 range (Evolve and Origin) is betting everything on the 'bigger is better' philosophy. With a 3.5-tonne towing capacity, an 1100kg payload, and a 550mm wading depth, it's set to compete with entry-level mainstream rivals.
