Overview
AS33 MY25 Essence Wagon 5dr DCT 7sp 475kg 1.5T The once very-British but now Chinese-owned brand MG contests the mid-size SUV category with its well-built, well-equipped and commodious mid-size MG HS. Falling well short, pricewise, of class leaders such as Mitsubishi Outlander, Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX-5, the three-model HS range offers base Vibe, mid-spec Excite and top-spec Essence variants. The sole powerplant is a front-drive 119kW/250Nm 1.5-litre turbo four with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, A comprehensive rollout of five-star safety tech includes high and low-speed AEB, pedestrian avoidance and lane-keep assist, while sat-nav is standard in Excite and Essence models.
