The latest incarnation of Peugeot's 307CC folding hardtop cabrio has arrived Down Under. And according to the French marque, it's not only arrived with updated looks and more equipment but its price has also been dropped.
The first shipments of the new Peugeot 307CC (Coupe Cabriolet) arrived in late December. They hit the market this month at a $2000 saving over the outgoing model. The 307CC Dynamic now begins at $47,990 (manual) while the manual-only 307CC Sport is priced at $54,990.
The 2006 307CC gets the revised Peugeot 'face' with bigger headlamps, a more prominent grille and integrated bumper with spotlights. It also features an updated interior equipped with an onboard computer and new multi function display, as well as dual-zone climate control. The Dynamic model also benefits from 17-inch alloys as standard, replacing the 16-inch rims of the previous model.
Other standard equipment across the 307CC range includes four airbags, ABS with ESP and traction control, emergency brake assist, remote control central locking, auto headlights and wipers. The Sport model also gets tyre pressure sensors, deadlocking and alarm system, Xenon headlights with washers and combination leather/cloth trim.
A lower seating provides a more sporting feel, says Peugeot.
For the Australian market, the 307CC Dynamic is equipped with a new 2.0-litre DOHC 103kW four producing 103kW of power, and driving through a five-speed manual gearbox or an optional auto. The five-speed manual-only 307CC Sport features a 130kW engine with variable valve timing.
