12 interesting finds from the 2019 ABS Motor Vehicle Census

We’ve done some digging to find some intriguing facts about who is driving what and where.

The 2019 ABS Motor Vehicle Census data was released this week by the Australian Bureau of Statistics which relates to the 19.5 million registered vehicles in Australia. The vehicle census covers information on the vehicle brand, vehicle type, fuel type of the cars Aussies own and drive and breaks the info down by postcode.

While there are lots of facts and figures relating to the growth of diesel vehicles, the decline of Ford and Holden and the increase in time in which we hold on to our vehicles, we have decided to take a different approach to the analysis. We've taken a deep dive into the postcode directory and cross matched with car brands. So here are 12 interesting facts from the 2019 ABS Motor Vehicle Census data that may tickle your fancy.
