Holden has repositioned its Captiva range slightly lower, with prices dropped across the board.
Additionally, the Captiva 7 range has adopted new trim level names, and both Captiva 5 and the seven-seat models introduce revised styling details for the new model year.
Captiva 7 remains a three-tier model range, but the former grades SX, CX and LX are now named LS, LT and LTZ, respectively. 2014 models can be distinguished at a glance by the restyled front/rear fascias and grill, with new chrome exhaust tips and LED tail lights. Mid-range LT – now riding on new 18-inch alloy wheels – and flagship LTZ variants gain integrated side steps. All three levels make the move to keyless entry/start as standard
Captiva 5 adopts chrome exterior door handles for the LTZ variant and an 18-inch wheel design for the LT variant. The upgraded Captiva range is expected to keep Holden sales folk busy, says Philip Brook, the company's Executive Director for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales.
“Since its first full year of sales in 2007, Holden has sold over 100,000 Captivas and in 2013 Captiva 7 was the best-selling seven-seater in Australia,” Brook was quoted saying in a press release issued today.
“Customers tell us it’s a combination of great features and styling at a competitive price point that makes Captiva such a compelling choice.
“And we are committed to driving new car buyers into the popular range by offering great value through strong retail pricing and HoldenWise capped price service guarantees.
“As with all of Holden’s recent new car launches, we’ve really sharpened our pencil on the new Captiva pricing, so we can continue to offer great value to SUV buyers. With price reductions across the range, we believe Captiva will remain high on the shopping lists of Australian families.”
